Literature Text
Waves pelted the shore, one right after another, washing away some of the sand and leaving behind seashells and sometimes starfish. The clear blue water was only blue when it washed over the land, out in the deep sea, where the waves began, the ocean was a multitude of colors. The deep water was a royal purple which gradually turned to a cyan blue before the setting sun colored the curls of the water to bright pinks and oranges.
Beneath one of the curling waves that were a surfer's dream were two people. One with an umbrella the other sheltered under it with the umbrella holder's arm around their shoulder. They walked slowly across the water's surface, neither one looked to be a in a hurry.
"Why can't she come with us, mom?"
"It isn't her time yet. We will see Deloris again when it's her time, until then we will be waiting, won't we?"
"Yes, mom."
I opened my eyes and pain flooded my senses, but that wasn't what I felt most deeply. It was the loss that I felt, that I was alone, so very alone.

The Sins of The Father
I’m the sum of all my fathers
But I won’t carry all their sins
The seed of life is precious
But blown away by gentle winds
Bad that’s happened in the past
Cannot be blamed today
For those who came before us
Have left their mark but gone away
We may inherit family features
And some traits just carry on
But we are all individuals who
Need to know that we belong

After the last sentence - Prologue
It was a dark night. The city streets were all empty, but for the occasional patrol. Just the lights of the inns, taverns and dwellings could lit that night, as the heavy rains prevented the sentinels from lighting up the watchtowers´signals. A knight wearing bright armor entered the tavern named “The Cave”. As he opened the door he noticed that three people remained inside: some dark, hooded character, playing with a coin at his table. “A mercenary” the knight thought to himself. At the counter, the second one stood, wearing an armor that could be the same as the knight´s, but for his headwear, as he wore so

After Graduation, Job
What do I even say?
I'd rather be miserable and ill than go back to my job. I need a job, though, and I need a new one before I quit this one. Bonus: I did actually apply to jobs today. (Just not to any that I really want to work at). Am I just not looking in the right places? And I hate even thinking about it, because I don't know what I want and thinking about it doesn't motivate me, it just makes me miserable. More miserable. Desperately, ridiculously depressed, in fact.
So I think of other things. It doesn't make the depression go away, but the depression slides under and for a while, maybe I don't notice it.
Maybe.
Maybe I'll

I wrote today's piece based on the visual prompt. I originally tried to write something from the digital one, but I didn't like it so I scrapped it. Then I checked out the visual prompt and came up with this! Props to IrrevocableFate for helping me out with the title and making sure everything was spelled right and what not!

Very descriptive! I like the sense of mystery it imparts to the two figures.
